Prerequisites
The time reporting for project activities differs depending on if Project is installed and activated. If it is installed, then you report time for project codes from Project. If it is not used, you report time for project codes that are set up in Work with projects.
Note: The following illustrates how to start and stop a project activity when Project is installed. In the instructions, the differences in the routine are pointed out.
Note: To be able to start and/or stop a project activity you must have clocked in. See Clock in and out for instructions.
Start a project activity
- Select the Reporting time menu item.
- You access Time reporting. Complete the following fields:
- Card id number
- Enter you card id number.
- Start/Stop
- Select the Project or activity option.
- You access Start/stop project activity. Depending on if Project is installed and activated or not, the fields on this panel may vary:
- If Project is installed, then complete the following field:
- Project activity
- Enter the code of a project activity that exists in Project.
- If Project is not installed, then complete the following field:
- Project
- Enter a code from the Project table indicating the project that you want to start. The selected project must be active, i.e. the booked date must be within the defined start date and end date of the project.
Click OK.
As applies here, complete Project activity. Click OK. Exit the routine.
Stop a project activity
- Select the Reporting time menu item.
- You access Time reporting. Complete the following fields:
- Card id number
- Enter you card id number.
- Start/Stop
- Select the Project or activity function.
- You access Start/stop project activity. Complete the following field:
- Invoice
- Indicate if the hours are to be invoiced.
Click OK.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
