Adding a new kit to a list of recommended kits is recommended if there is a list of items that are to be used to do a service job. The kits can be assigned to the items later on or items can be assigned to the kit.
The kit consists of the following:
- Kit description
- User defined service codes
Depending on the service codes entered on the service order job, a specific kit corresponding to the problem and/or solution can be found. Also, the service codes are retrieved to the service order job when a kit is attached to the job. - Charge method
States if the order should be charged on time and material basis or to fixed prices. This may be changed during the service order processing. - Text
Corresponds to a typical set of instructions; for example, When using this kit, you should do the following. - List of material and labour
Contains the recommended parts and amount of labour needed for the specified operation.
- Select the Work with recommended kits menu item.
- On the initial panel, click Add.
- You access Work with recommended kits. Complete the following fields:
- Kit
- Enter the new kit name.
- Description
- Enter the appropriate description for the new kit.
- Parts – fixed pr
- Indicate if parts attached to the new kit should be charged according to a fixed price.
- Service – fixed price
- Indicate if service items attached to the new kit should be charged according to a fixed price.
Click OK to update. Exit the routine.
