Receive automatically created pallets from a manufacturing order

The pallet number is created and the pallet labels are printed automatically when the shop floor documents are printed for the manufacturing order. When the pallet arrives at the warehouse you only need to report the received pallet number.

Prerequisites
The following fields define if automatic pallet reception is possible:

  • Auto pallet creation must be set to YES in the Item file.
  • Print pallet label must be set to YES in the Manufacturing order type table.

There are two ways of receiving automatically created pallets:

  • Manufacturing order pallet reception
    This panel is used to report whole pallets. You only enter the pallet number during the reception. This function is not available for batch items or serial number items.
  • Inventory transaction selection, M-order pallet reception
    This panel is used to report approved quantity for a pallet. It is possible to report partial reception of a pallet. This function is also used for reception of pallet handled batch and serial number items.

The following describes both ways of reporting pallets.

Manufacturing order pallet reception

  1. Select the Manufacturing order pallet reception menu item.
  2. You access Manufacturing order reception. Complete the following field:
    3. Pallet
    Enter (or scan) the pallet number.

    Click OK to report the entered pallet number as received.

  3. The pallet has been received. The fields displayed denote what has been reported for the manufacturing order. The pallet you reported is included in these figures. Exit the routine.

Inventory transaction selection, M-order pallet reception

  1. Select the Manufacturing order pallet reception menu item.
  2. You access Manufacturing order reception. Click Pallet reception view. (Tip: The pallet reception view can also be accessed if you click Pallet recept view on the Inventory transaction selection, Manufacturing order panel).
  3. You access Inventory transaction selection, M-order pallet reception. (Tip: Click All/Open pallets to toggle between viewing all pallets or only open pallets). Select the pallet that you want to receive and click Reception.
  4. You accesss Manufacturing order reception. Complete the following fields:
    5. Approved qty
    Enter the approved quantity in stock unit.
    Complete
    Indicate if this is the last reception that is made on the manufacturing order. If you set this field to YES, the manufacturing order will be closed (order status is set to 60) and all reservation and workload will be removed.
    Stock unit
    Indicate if the quantity is entered in stock unit (YES) or structure unit (NO). Change is only possible if structure unit is not the same as stock unit for the manufacturing order.

    Click OK.

  5. You return to Inventory transaction selection, M-order pallet reception. The pallet reception has been reported. Exit the routine.
