Automatically create manufacturing orders from block orders

Related topics

Instead of creating manufacturing orders manually for one block order at a time, these can be created for a selected number of block orders simultaneously. The advantages are that you can process several block orders at the same time, and that the function is accessed from the Work with block order panel.

You can process block orders at status 10 and 40 for which no manufacturing orders have been created for the next period.

  1. Select the Work with manufacturing block orders panel.
  2. You access Work with block order. Select the applicable block orders and click Create orders to create manufacturing orders for the next frequency period (day, week or month). (Note: No manufacturing orders will be created for block orders that already have manufacturing orders for the next period).
  3. You access Manufacturing order creation.
  4. The information that is displayed in the fields is retrieved from the system. Enter new information in the fields that can be changed, or accept the existing information. See Manually create a manufacturing order from a block order for information about the fields.

Click OK when you have completed all relevant fields.

  5. The Manufacturing order creation panel will be displayed for each manufacturing order that is to be created. Check the information displayed on the panel, and click OK to accept each manufacturing order creation.
  6. Note: The Manufacturing order maintenance, Header panel will be displayed if you set Maint order to YES on Manufacturing order creation. Maintain the order and update by clicking OK. Click Cancel to process the next block order.

  7. You return to Work with block order. Exit the routine.
