You are able to generate several periods for an item and warehouse combination. For this, you need to select an item-related key (Item, Item discount group, Item price group, etc.) and further enter the key values for the selected key and then define the period during which the item should be phased-out and ultimately discontinued.
- Select the Work with discontinued items menu item.
- On the main panel, click Generate item and periods.
- You access Work with discontinued items, Generate item and periods. Select the item-related key from the list.
- On the detail panel of the selected key, complete the following fields:
- xxxxxxx
- The name of this field depends on the key selected on the previous panel. Enter the value to which the items, that are to be discontinued, belong.
- Warehouse
- Enter the warehouse in which the item is stored.
- From period
- Enter the start period for the phase out.
- To period
- Enter the end period for the phase out.
Click Generate details to create a record in the actual file with the selected value as base. The periods for the item and warehouse combination are generated. Exit the routine.
