The following describes how you change the cost price for the items on a non-conformity certificate (NCC). This can be used to reduce the value of the items that have been rejected.
Note: You cannot change the cost price if no items exist on the NCC, meaning you have entered inventory transactions, inventory movement or return orders to supplier, and therefore the on hand quantity for the NCC is zero.
- Select the Work with non-conformity certificate costs menu item.
- You access Non-conformity certificate cost update. Enter the applicable NCC number and click OK.
- On the detail panel, most of the fields are retrieved from the NCC header file (see Maintain the non-conformity certificate) with the following exceptions:
- Initial qty rejected
- This is the total quantity initially rejected/moved to the non-conforming stock.
- Current NC stck on hand
- Displays the current stock on hand for this NCC. If this field is not equal to Initial qty rejected, some activity has occurred for the NCC, (e.g. stock movements or returns to supplier).
- Received quantity
- Displays the total quantity that was received on the purchase order line.
- Approved quantity
- Displays the total quantity approved on the purchase order line.
- Total qty rejected
- This is the total rejected quantity for the purchase order line. If this field is not equal to Initial qty rejected, more than one NCC was created for this order line at DIS quality control note confirmation.
Enter a new cost price and click OK to update the NCC header file and create transactions in the Inventory transaction file.
Updates
Transactions concerning cost price change will be created in the Bookkeeping transaction file. Note: If the items on the NCC are stored in more than one warehouse (that is, an inventory movement has occurred), inventory transactions and accounting transactions for each warehouse will be created.
