The following describes how to schedule orders lines for consecutive weeks.
- Select the Work with sales orders menu item.
- Enter a new sales order or select an existing one and click Lines.
- You access Work with sales orders, Order lines. Enter the Item code for the item that you want to create scheduled dispatches for. Note: If you have opened an existing sales order make certain that sales order lines for that item have not been previously entered. Select the item you want to create scheduled dispatches for and click Schedule.
- You access Sales order line scheduling.
- Schedule type
- Tick the Weekly radio button for a weekly dispatch.
- Total disp quantity
- Enter the total quantity you want to dispatch.
- No of dispatches
- Enter the number of dispatches to take place.
- The first shipment will be on the starting dispatch date
- Each subsequent shipment will be the first working day; 7 days (working and non-working), from the previous one.

- The lines are now updated on the Work with sales orders, Order lines panel. You can now continue with the regular processing of the order.
After entering the following data:
and clicking OK, order lines appear on the bottom half of the panel, outlining the quantity per dispatch and the dispatch dates.
Dispatch dates
The dispatch dates are determined as follows:
Scenario
Assume you entered 4 in No of dispatches. If every day (in each of these weeks) were working days the dates would have been:
But for this example, the 27th of June is a holiday.
The Select a date window retrieves the days from the Calendar file. It displays how the system calculated the dates:
Since Wednesday the 27th is a non-working day, the system takes the next working day (Thursday the 28th) as the next shipment date. Any remaining order lines will be dispatched on a weekly basis as of the next shipment date.
The dispatch dates for this scenario are therefore:
Accept the lines by clicking OK.
