The following describes how to create user defined sales and purchase statistics definitions in the iSeries and then analyse the information in Analyser.
The advantages with the User-defined statistics routine in Analyser versus the normal statistical routines in Distribution is as follows:
- More flexibility, allowing you to define your own columns and time levels.
- More keys on which to sort.
- Can be run interactively, allowing you to quickly generate the statistical information and analyse the information both graphically and on a deeper level via Analyser.
Note: There is an extensive drill down function in Analyser enabling you to drill down to subordinate levels of information.
This creation and analysis of the user defined statistics is a simple several step process, which includes:
- Creating the statistics definition via the via the Logistics C/S Set Up Tasks menu, thereby defining the time levels, keys and columns for your analysis.
- Analysing the information in Analyser, with a wide variety of ways in which to view the data.
- User-defined sales statistics:
- Invoice / Sales statistics file in Distribution, which is created during invoicing.
- User-defined purchase statistics:
- Purchase statistics file in Distribution, which is created during goods reception.
