Note: This is not mandatory, but by doing so you can more logically categorise the components that are to eventually be included in the Profitability Analysis report in Analyser.
Tip: You can bypass this menu option and create the categories when you are defining the balance components (see Define the balance components for the Profitability Analysis report for instructions).
- Select the Manage Balance component categories menu item from the Profitability Analysis menu.
- Click the New icon or File/New from the menu bar.
- You access PA Component category edit view. Complete the following fields:
- Code
- Enter a unique code for the category you are adding.
- Description
- Enter the description of the category.
- Icon file
- If you want a specific icon associated with this category, enter the name of the file in this field, or alternatively click Select and select from the list of available icons. If you do not complete this field, the normal “Folder” icon will be associated with this category.
Click Save to save the information. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all categories you want to add.
