Assign users to signatures

If you assign a System-role, when working with Assigning receivers to an event, you will receive a warning message informing you that this has been done. The message is to remind you to select a parameter to Use to find receiver. This is since this role will point directly to a Signature file. The same is true for BP-roles (Business partner roles), where the Contact field in the Business partner file is used to find the receiver.

If a parameter is used in order to find a receiver, this is done via a search for a signature. Since a signature and a user are not one and the same, you must assign users to a particular signature. This ensures that once AMT has used the parameter to locate the signature, the message that is created is then forwarded to user(s) associated therewith.

  1. Select the Work with signatures menu item.
  2. On the main panel, select the signature to which you want to assign a user and click Assign users.
  3. You access Work with assign users. Select the user(s) that you want to have assigned to this signature and click Assign.
  4. Once this has been completed, events that make use of a parameter to retrieve receivers via the signature selected in the previous panels, will have the messages that are then created sent to the user(s) you have assigned here. Column Active indicates which ones they are. Column Dfl (Default) indicates if the user has been assigned as the default for this signature and is used to retrieve the email address, phone and fax numbers of the handler for printing on various external documents.

Tip: Toggle Active/All to only view those that have been activated as receivers of events or all users.

Click OK and exit the routine.
