Warehouse
Enter a code from Work with warehouses indicating the warehouse for this location.
Zone
Enter a code from Work with warehouse zones indicating the zone for this location.
Location
Enter the location ID to be used for the location. As the pick list and put away list are sequenced in warehouse/zone/location order, it is important that the name standard for naming the locations are correct (e.g. Aisle/Row/Bin/Height/Slot).
Location alias
Only applicable if R/F is activated for the selected warehouse. Mandatory if Use location alias is set to YES on the R/F information panel in Work with warehouses. Enter a location alias to be used for R/F scanning in order to identify the actual zone and location. The alias must be unique for the entire warehouse.

Item
Optional entry. Enter a code from Distribution’s Item file to reserve this location for the item entered. Note: This field can only be changed if both the Allocated capacity % and Utilised capacity % fields for the location are zero. Item reservation can, however, be removed when location is occupied. Replenishment of primary pick suggestions will only be generated for item assigned locations.
Location size
Mandatory entry. Enter a code from Work with warehouse location sizes. This code must use the location unit of measure defined for the warehouse of the location being entered. The location size is used to define the physical attributes of a location. Note: This field can only be changed if both Allocated capacity % and Utilised capacity % fields for the location are zero.
Resource group
This field is only displayed if Radio Frequency is installed and activated. Enter the resource group to which this location should be assigned. Note: This field can only be completed if the location has a location class that is defined as a resource. See About working with resource allocation for more information.
Location type
Enter a code from Work with location types to be used to limit how many locations of the same item can be occupied within the selected location type. A location type can also be used to define the valid storage unit for a specific item in the location. This relationship is established on the Location type panel in the Item file.
Movability
Enter a movability code (1-99). This code is used to specify the convenience of picking from this location. Those locations that are the most convenient to pick from should be assigned a movability code of 1.
Stock category
Enter a code from Work with stock categories to assign a stock category to a location. By doing this, item quantities in the location can be viewed differently by the system than regular inventory, based on the definition of the associated quantity type(s). This allows the creation of locations that may contain item quantities that are on hold, damaged, unsellable, etc. Note: When the location is under stock take or suspended for stock take, the balance in the location is not available for picking and stock category cannot be changed.
Location class
Mandatory entry. Enter the location class denoting the processes allowed for the location. If you want to allocate resources through R/F batch creation, then you should enter a location class with the Resource field set to YES in Work with location classes, if this location should be used as a resource.
Location group
Optional entry. Enter a code from Work with location groups to reserve this location for items that are assigned to this location group on the Warehouses panel in Distribution’s Item file.
Location owner group
This field is only applicable for the Stock ownership functionality and two types of inventory contracts for the Contract Managed Inventory functionality. It is a mandatory entry for your physical warehouse and location if you want to place strict control over the owners of your locations (i.e. you just want to allow some internal owners to keep their stock in a specific location (Stock ownership functionality), or stock owned by some customers or suppliers to keep their stock in a specific location (for Customer Deposit Stock (CDS) inventory contracts and Supplier Consignment Stock (SCS) inventory contracts). Enter the applicable code from Work with location owner groups denoting which owner is allowed to store the items in the location.

For specific location owner setup instructions regarding the Stock ownership functionality, see Setup – Several internal owners of standard stock with owner per location, but with owner restriction for more information.

For specific location owner setup instructions regarding the Customer Deposit Stock (CDS) and Supplier Consignment Stock (SCS) inventory contracts, see the following:

Multiple items
Mandatory entry. Indicate if items with different item codes can be stored in the location at the same time. For primary pick locations (pick priority = 100) this field must be NO. For bulk locations (defined by location size) this field must be YES. If the Multiple put away field is NO, then this field must also be NO. Note: This field cannot be changed to NO if multiple items currently occupy the location.
Multiple put away
Mandatory entry. Indicate if multiple put away of an item should be suggested for this location. If NO, then put away will only be suggested to this location when the location is empty. For bulk locations (defined by location size) this field must be YES. Note: This field cannot be changed to NO if multiple items currently occupy the location.
Pick priority
Mandatory entry. Enter a pick priority code (100-899) from Work with suggestion priorities which is used to establish the priority in which this location should be considered for picking. A pick priority of 100 identifies this location as a primary pick location. Movements to a primary pick location will only be allowed for locations reserved by item.
Put away priority
Mandatory entry. Enter a put away priority code (100-899) which is used to establish the priority in which this location should be considered for item put away (goods reception). Locations with a put away priority of 100 will be the first considered for item put away.

Note: If the location should be used for a staging location, then the put away priority code should have been set to NO in the Put away field. See the Panel help for Work with suggestion priorities and the R/F staging locations panel in Work with warehouses for further information.

Pick sequence
Enter a pick sequence which is used to establish the line sequence of a location on the pick list. Where zone picking is not being implemented the sequence of pick list lines will be by pick sequence/location ID and page breaks will occur by order number. Where zone picking is being implemented the pick list lines will be sorted by zone/pick sequence/location ID and page breaks will occur by order number and zone.
Put away sequence
Enter a put away sequence which is used to establish the line sequence of a location on the put away (goods reception) list. Where zone put away is not being implemented the put away list lines will be sorted by put away sequence/location ID and page breaks will occur by order number. Where zone put away is being implemented the put away lines will be sorted by zone/put away sequence/location ID and page breaks will occur by order number and zone.
Replenishment lvl %
Enter a replenishment level percentage which is used to specify the stock level of a location that should trigger a replenishment suggestion for the location. When the stock level for an item assigned to this location is below the percentage entered here, the location will be considered for replenishment.

Note: The replenishment level is used exclusively by the Warehouse Management Replenishment of primary pick suggestion routine. Replenishment of primary pick suggestions will only be generated for item assigned locations.

Put away level %
Enter the put away level percentage which is used to specify the stock level of a location that should trigger a put away suggestion for the location. When the stock level for an item assigned to this location is below the percentage entered here, the location will be considered for item put away.

If you do not want to perform put away to a location, then this field should be set to 0%. For bulk locations (defined by location size) this field must be either 0 or 100, since the Utilised capacity % field is not shown for bulk locations.

Note: The put away level is used exclusively by the Goods reception routine in Warehouse Management.

Utilised capacity %
Displays the utilised capacity percentage, which is the percentage of the location area that is currently occupied by item, and cannot be changed. Note: This field is not shown for bulk locations. (A bulk location is defined by the code in the Location size field.)
Allocated capacity %
Displays the allocated capacity percentage, which is the percentage of the location area that is currently allocated for put away or replenishment, and cannot be changed. Note: This field is not shown for bulk locations. (A bulk location is defined by the code in the Location size field.)
Overreserv allowed
Indicate if overreservation should be allowed during the creation of the pick suggestions. This field can only be set to YES for item assigned locations that are activated for stock unit picking.

If this field is set to YES, then it will be possible to reserve items even if the specified quantity is not available in the location. The quantity must, however, be available in the warehouse or be suggested for replenishment. This function is useful if an item, for some reason, always must be picked from a certain location.

Note: Overreservation is only possible for items for which the Pick rule field is set to 4 (pick priority, overreservation) in the Item file.

Auto replenish
Indicate if a replenishment suggestion should be generated automatically when the location falls under replenishment level after the pick confirmation. This field can only be set to YES for item assigned locations. Note: You enter the default values to be used during the automatic creation on the Work with warehouses, Replenishment defaults panel.
Auto put away
Indicate if a put away from bulk suggestion should be automatically created for a location. When goods are received into a location with this field set to YES, then the suggestion is automatically created and put away labels printed.
