On this panel you can view calendar information for one day. The calendar hours are displayed for a selected engineer or for a planned service order/job combination. The panel header differs accordingly.
Options
Add engineer | Only displayed if you accessed this panel from the Work with service planning program and if you are updating the calendar of a planned service job. Mark a time and select this option to assign an engineer to the planned job at this hour. |
Selection fields
- Order/job
- Displays the service order/job number if you are updating the calendar of a planned service job.
- Engineer
- Displays the engineer name if you are updating the calendar for a selected engineer.
- Date
- Displays the date selected on the previous panel.
- Time
- This column lists the 24 hours available for job planning during the date displayed in the header.
- Order
- Displays the service order number of the job planned at this hour.
- Job
- Displays the service order job number.
- Engineer
- Displays the engineer assigned to the planned job.
- Item
- Displays the service item of the job.
Work with engineer calendar, Detail (SOR40004)
On this panel you can add, maintain or view calendar information details for a planned service order/job combination or a selected engineer.
- Order/job
- Only displayed if you accessed this panel from Work with service planning. Displays the selected service order/job combination.
- Engineer
- Only displayed if you accessed this panel from Work with engineer calendar. Displays the selected engineer.
- Date
- Displays the planned date for the job.
- Time
- Displays the time when the job is planned to start.
- Service order
- Enter a service order number for which you want to assign hours. If an order number does not exist in the Planned service orders file, a new planned service order record is created using the information from the Engineer calendar file and the Service order job header. Note: The service order number must exist in the Service order job header. If this is a new record and Engineer in the Service order job header is blank, Engineer will be updated to the Service order job header.
- Job
- Enter the service order job number. The service order/job number combination must exist in the Service order job header file.
- Engineer
- Only displayed if you accessed this panel from Work with service planning. Enter the engineer to be assigned to this job.
- Item
- This field is used to reserve calendar time, e.g., when an engineer needs to reserve time for a meeting. Enter a code from the Item file. The item must be a service item and Time only must be set to YES in the Service item group table.
- Estimated work time
- Displays the estimated work time for the whole order/job combination.
- Total assigned time
- Displays the total time assigned to all engineers for the whole order/job combination.
- Assigned to engineer
- Displays the work time assigned to the selected engineer.
- New hours
- Enter the quantity of hours that you want to update in the Calendar file. If you enter, e.g. five hours, this hour and the next four hours in the Engineer calendar file are updated. An engineer availability check is done. The hours must be greater than 0.
Whether or not hours should also be updated during holidays and weekends is read from the Sales order type table, Service information panel. If Normal hours is set to YES, only work days will be updated. Hours are also added to assigned hours in Planned service order file, and they are added to the engineer’s total assigned hours.
