Time rule maintenance (SOR03204)
The purpose of this file is to automatically split the entered time transactions depending on the warehouse to which the engineer belongs, the basic time level of the engineer and the day of week.
Time rules are also used in the service planning to define how daily hours should be reported for an engineer when normal work time is used.
It is possible to define different rules depending on normal days and public holidays. It is also possible to have different rules for the customer (i.e. what the customer will be charged for) and the engineer (i.e. what will be transferred to the payroll system).
- Warehouse
- Enter a code from the Warehouse table, indicating the warehouse to which the engineer belongs. When engineers are booked for the job, the order warehouse is used to find start and stop hours for the engineer calendar. When hours are split via time registration, the engineer warehouse is used to find time rules for splitting.
- Basic time level
- Enter a code from the Basic time level table, indicating the time level defined for the engineer. This defines the engineer’s daily work hours. The basic time level is used to find the proper time rule to split hours entered in time registration.
- Day of week
- Enter the numeric value for the day of the week (Monday = 1, Sunday = 7). The day of week must exist in the Day description table.
