This document outlines the different process steps and the order in which these actions should be taken. - Narrow down the demand plan selection
This panel displays the item and customer keys that are connected to the demand plan hierarchy.
On this panel you can narrow down the values that are included in the hierarchy keys by defining specific values for the demand plan detail creation. You can, for example, define a number of specific item codes for an item group. If a selection is made, only the selected values will be included in the demand plan detail creation.
Note: You can also narrow down the selection by setting the Incl zero quantities field to NO on the demand plan header, by stating a short period interval on the header or by setting the Demand plan field to NO in the Item file for the items that should not be available for demand planning.
Caution: If no selection is made, all values belonging to the selected hierarchy and its key levels will be included. The result might be a demand plan that is too big and too slow to handle.

Note: For the Item and Customer keys, which are the lowest selection criteria for the item and customer related selections, you can select up to 15 individual values. This extended selection possibility is principally intended to be used for the creation of demand plans of type Promotion, since this type of demand plans often contain a number of individual items for a selection of customers.
