Conformity criteria are used in the quality control of manufacturing orders. When manufacturing orders are created, the conformity criteria that have been connected to the item structure will be copied to the manufacturing order operation and printed on the operation cards as informational text.
The conformity criteria that can be connected to the item structure are those that belong to the conformity group that is defined for the parent item in the Item file, Basic data. You can connect one or several criteria to the item structure, either on header level or from the bill of routing.
Note: If no criteria are included in the structure, all conformity criteria connected to the conformity group that is defined for the item in the Item file will be used in the conformity criteria reporting function.

Connect conformity criteria to the item structure header
- Select the Work with structures menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the item structure for which you want to define conformity criteria and click Change.
- You access Work with structures, Structure header. Complete the following field:
- Maintenance option
- Indicate what is to be changed in the item structure by ticking one of the following: Material, Operations/Item criteria, Alternative/co-product, Header text or No maintenance. For this task, tick Item criteria.
- You access Work with structures, Structure header, conf criteria. Highlight the conformity criteria that you want to connect to the item structure and click Select/Deselect. The Included field will be set to YES for the selected criteria meaning it is now included in the item structure. Exit the routine.
Click OK.
Connect conformity criteria to the bill of routing of an item structure
- Select the Work with structures menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the item structure you want to work with and click Change oper.
- You access Structure maintenance, Bill of routing, op times in minutes (decimals). Select the operation to which you want to connect conformity criteria and click Conf criteria.
- You access Conformity criteria maintenance. Highlight the conformity criteria that you want to connect to the item structure and click Select/Deselect. The Included field will be set to YES for the selected criteria.
Note: You can define quality control details for the activated conformity criteria by clicking Change on this panel. The information that is entered per criterion and operation will override the quality control information that is entered on structure header level. See Define quality control values for an item structure for more information about quality control information.
The conformity criteria records marked with YES are now included in the item structure. Exit the routine.
