The purpose of this program is to maintain or create a manufacturing order. When entering a manufacturing order the order number is automatically generated by the system. The order number can also be set manually.

If the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) function is activated in the Function control file, the warehouse entered must be classified as a normal or trade (logical) warehouse (i.e. the Warehouse characteristic flag in Work with warehouses must be set to 1 (normal) or 2 (trade). - The stock or structure unit of the item. See Structure unit handling for more information.
- Order type
- The manufacturing order type defines:
- what order status the order will receive
- if order network will be created
- how the reporting of material and operation is to be handled
Initially the order type is set from Work with system user profiles.
- Start date
- You can also enter the optional start time of manufacturing order in the textbox beside the Start date textbox, when the order is planned to be started. The start time textbox is only displayed if the MPL-TIME (Plan operation by date/time) function is activated in the Function control file. Note: The start time is retrieved from the MFG control file when the program is started in add mode. The start time should not be greater than 24 and less than 0. Moreover, the decimal (minutes) also should not be greater than 59.
- Completion date
- You can also enter the optional completion time of manufacturing order in the textbox beside the Completion date textbox, when the order is planned to be completed. The completion time textbox is only displayed if the MPL-TIME (Plan operation by date/time) function is activated in the Function control file. Note: The completion time is retrieved from the MFG control file when the program is started in add mode. The completion time should not be greater than 24 and less than 0. Moreover, the decimal(minutes) also should not be greater than 59.
- Copy structure
- Indicates if the item structure (bill of material) should be copied to the manufacturing order.
- Copy operations
- Indicates if the operations (bill of routing) should be copied to the manufacturing order.
- Copy from order
- If you accessed this panel via the Add/Copy function key, then this field is blank. If you used the Copy option, then the number of the selected manufacturing order from which information should be copied is defaulted. Click the prompt icon to select another order to copy from.
