Automatically create manufacturing orders from block orders by submitting a batch job

Related topics

Batch jobs are normally run regularly. Using this function you can automatically create manufacturing orders for a selected number of block orders. The advantages are that you can process several block orders at the same time, and that a list of the created manufacturing orders will be printed each time you run the batch job. Block orders at status 10 and 40 can be processed using the batch function.

Note: This function creates orders for the upcoming period. Creation of orders in the current period can be done from the Work with block order panel. See Automatically create manufacturing orders from block orders for instructions.

  1. Select the Work with reports/jobs – MFG orders menu item.
  2. You access Work with batch jobs. Select CRT_M.ORD and click Submit job.
  3. You access Create manufacturing orders from block orders. Complete the following field:
  4. Start date
All three dates (day, week, month) are mandatory. Manufacturing orders will not be created if orders connected to a block order already exist with a start date that is equal to or higher than this date.

Click OK when you have completed all relevant fields. The system processes the block orders, and you return to Work with batch jobs.
