Only payment modes defined for the SEPA Direct Debit functionality support the creation of the collection file. For more information, see Setting up the SEPA Direct Debit functionality and the Panel help for Work with A/R payment modes. Note: If you are running the Danish, Dutch or German application, then this functionality also applies for non-SEPA payments. For specific Dutch panel differences, see Process an A/R payment proposal (the Netherlands).

You create a collection payment file and map it to an XML file which is stored on the IFS in order to be sent to the financial institute. When a collection payment file is created it is allowed to maintain, print, delete, print remittance advice, create collection to bank, and update proposal. It is necessary to create a collection to bank to be able to update the Accounts Receivable. Note: You may re-create the collection if Re-create collection is set to YES on the SEPA Direct Debit data panel in Work with A/R payment modes.

  1. Select the Work with A/R payment proposals menu item.
  2. On the Overview panel, select the applicable proposal and click Collection to bank.
  3. You access A/R payment proposal, Collection to bank showing information about your payment proposal. Enter the bank, if applicable, and click OK to create a collection file.

Exit the routine.
