The alternative item functionality allows you to search for, select and sell items that are used as alternatives in the pharmaceutical industry. This functionality is only available if the Pharma application is activated and specific function controls have been activated in the Function control file.
This functionality allows you to do the following:
- Find an alternative item to sell in place of the regularly sold item during sales order entry. This functionality is available if the ALTITMSL (Alternative item selection) function has been activated. When you enter a regularly sold item in the Item/Assortment field on the Order lines panel and click OK, the Alternative items, Selection panel will prompt displaying the alternative items available from which you can select that applicable.
- Use the smart sales order entry routine to search for the item instead of the regular item search. This functionality is available if the SRCORDCT (Search item order control) function has been activated. If you enter an item in the Item/Assortment field on the Order lines panel that does not exist and click OK, you will access the Smart sales order entry, Item search panel where you can search for the item.
- Exit smart sales order entry after the alternative item is selected. This functionality is available if the LVESMOAC (Leave smart order after create) function has been activated.
