Working with inventory proposals

Related topics

Using the inventory routine in Asset Management gives you the capability to manage where your assets are physically located. The system produces an inventory list, which can be sorted on your choice of several key fields which helps you to:

  • Keep track of where your assets are at all times.
  • Find out if assets are missing.
  • Update any physical movements.

You can also create your own labels to physically label your assets. Any physical movement that affects balances and accounting (e.g., a new cost centre) leads to an account movement and the future depreciation cost is posted to the correct cost centre. This happens automatically the next time you calculate depreciation. See About working with account movements for more information.
