The following describes the basics of setting up a Sales price list. For information about adding the items and defining the different pricing options, see Add and price the items in the sales price list.
- Select the Work with sales price list menu item.
- On the initial panel, click Add.
- Enter a code and description for your sales price list. If Chain and Order summary discounts are allowed, as defined in the DIS control file, also indicate if any Chain discounts and/or Order summary discounts can be applied on top of prices and discounts generated from this sales price list.
Note: You can apply Chain discounts and/or Order summary discounts on a sales price list or just on the prices for a specific item/currency and unit combination. See the applicable fields in Add and price the items in the sales price list.
If you want the sales price list to be eligible for promotional pricing, (i.e. being allowed to be compared against prices from sales promotions), set the Promotions flag to YES. When a price is automatically retrieved for a sales order line, the retrieved price will be compared to the pricing from a sales promotion, if such promotion pricing exists, to get the lowest price. If the Promotions flag is set to NO, no comparison against promotion pricing will take place.
