Schedule/un-schedule updates using the Forward maintenance functionality

The proposal will be automatically launched by the system when its scheduled date and time (defined in the header, see Create a forward maintenance proposal) has been reached. In order to allow the system to do this you must confirm that the proposal is ready. To do this you must have created the proposal, entered your selections and defined your new values.

Note Although, technically, it is not necessary to add a selection criteria to your proposal it is recommended that you do so. If one is not entered then all of the records in either the Business Partner file or Item file will be updated.

Schedule a proposal

  1. Select the Work with forward maintenance proposals menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, select the proposal you wish to confirm and click Schedule upd.
  3. You access Work with forward maintenance proposals, Schedule update. Click OK. The proposal is now scheduled and its status is set to 30.

Un-schedule a proposal
Once the proposal has been scheduled the system will wait until the set date and time to launch it. During this time the proposal will be locked for edit. If, for any reason, you decide to make changes to it or, if you decide that you wish to execute it right away then you must first unlock it by un-scheduling it.

  1. Select the Work with forward maintenance proposals menu item.
  2. On the initial panel, select the proposal you wish to un-schedule and click Un-schedule update.
  3. You access Work with forward maintenance proposals, Un-schedule update. Click OK. The proposal is now un-scheduled and its status is reset to 10.
